First Mittens Class

If you’ve always wanted to make mittens, this is your chance! We’ll guide you through one of our favorite adult mitten patterns, over three sessions.  Learn to knit in the round on double pointed needles, increase stitches, make a thumb and decrease to shape the top of your mitten.

Materials are not included in the class fee, but you will receive 20% off anything you purchase for this class.

  • You must already know how to knit, purl, cast on/off without assistance to take this class. (If you'd like a refresher, please schedule an appointment with us before the first class.)
  • Please purchase materials before the first class or come 20min early.
  • Materials: 1 Skein Manos Maxima, 2 sets of double pointed needles size US 6 and US 8 and stitch markers. Optional: US #8 9" circular needle.

Note: In order to make mittens that fit properly, we will be knitting and checking our gauge in the first class. Some students may need to switch needle sizes. If you already have them, bring a range of double pointed needles in US sizes 4-9.
