Sunday, August 5 | 10am-3pm
(Sign up deadline: July 29)
$80 (includes $35 for materials)
When leaves and flowers are placed on specially treated fabric, and then steamed, they release their pigments to create realistic prints on the fabric. Students will learn about which plants print reliably and will experiment with other plants. Each student will take home six printed pieces of fabric, including one silk scarf.
Watch a video at marydelanofiberarts.com to see what fun awaits you.
Students will need to scissors and a bucket of freshly cut plants.
Mary will e-mail you a few days before the class to suggest what plants to collect.
There will be a short break for lunch. Feel free to pack a lunch or grab food nearby. Note: some restaurants on Main Street are closed on Sundays.
