Knit or Crochet Ornament-a-Long
Wednesday, November 12 & 19 | 5:30-7pm
Thursday, November 13 & 20 | 10:30am-12pm
Handmade ornaments are wonderful gifts, and making them together is a great way to get into the holiday/hygge spirit!
We’ve got patterns for both knitting and crochet, and beginners are welcome to join! We’ll provide yarn to make two ornaments, but feel free to use your own yarn if desired! See materials and skills required below.
Knitters
Skills required: Knitting, purling, casting on/off without assistance. Experience increasing/decreasing, and working in the round with double pointed needles will be helpful, but not required.
Materials Required for Sweaters/Stockings: US #1 or 2 double pointed needle set and scrap sock/fingering weight yarn (if you want to bring your own colors!)
Materials Required for Snowflakes: US #4 or 5 double pointed needle set and scrap worsted weight yarn (if you want to bring your own colors!)
Crocheters
Skills required: Chain, single crochet, half- double crochet and triple crochet. Some experience increasing/decreasing and working in the round will be helpful, but not required.
Materials Required for Sweaters: US C, D, or E crochet hook, and scrap sock/fingering weight yarn (if you want to bring your own colors!) Pattern calls for a E, we used a C!
Materials Required for Gnomes: 1 US G or #7 crochet hook, 1 US C hook, scrap worsted weight yarn ans small bit of fingering weight yarn for nose (if you want to bring your own colors!)
Materials Required for Tree/Wreath: US G or H crochet hook, and both green and brown worsted weight yarn (if you want to bring your own!)
Materials Required for Nordic Doves: US G crochet hook, and scrap worsted or light worsted weight yarn (if you want to bring your own colors!)
