One of the hardest things to learn about crochet, is how to hold everything and manage your tension. After that, the steps of crochet build logically off each other, and students tend to catch on quickly! To make it easier, Ilike to set my students up with a few completed rows, so you’re not just fumbling and frustrated as a first step. It works pretty well, and I have a pretty high success rate! Maybe this is the time to learn?
For this beginner class, we’ll gather in the galley for an hour after lunch. We’ll learn: single, half-double, and double crochet stitches, then foundation chains, chain stitches and slip stitches, If we learn quickly, we can move on to working in a circle… and maybe make a simple hat!
