Join me on a Knitting or Wine Cruise on

Schooner J. & E. Riggin!

Hi! I’m your knitting and wine pairing cruise director Kim Hamlin! This is me after chowing down on some lobster last year, with the gorgeous J. & E. Riggin in the background.

Cosy, comfortable, and GORGEOUS!!!

This year, I won’t forget my swift and ball winder!

Knit, Crochet & Stitch Cruise

Knitters & crocheters of all levels are invited to join us for an early summer adventure with Kim Hamlin of Fiber & Vine. A native Mainer, Kim is a fiber artist, designer, and dancer who has been knitting for over 25 years. She loves to knit, talk about “gauge,” sew, embroider, quilt, crochet, macrame, needle felt, nuno felt, spin, eco-print, make clothes, and teach these skills to others. Kim is also the owner of Fiber & Vine, a fun fiber arts and wine shop located in historic downtown Norway, Maine that boasts a wide selection of yarn, felting and spinning fibers, tools and notions for knitting/crochet/felting, buttons, handmade gift items and also…wine!

As always, you can follow along with the planned itinerary, or choose your own adventure. Bring whatever projects you’d like to work on, or anything you need help with. Kim is up to the task and she hasn’t been stumped yet!

Kim recommends bringing:

  • An easy project to work on and see while chatting in the low light of the evening lanterns.

  • Something a bit more challenging, that you might want advice or help with.

  • Something to mend! Kim always has extra yarn, embroidery floss, and fabric patches on hand to help with your minor mending projects.

  • Warm, stretchy clothes, and wind resistant clothes in case it’s chilly.

  • A clipboard, or binder clips to secure paper patterns from flying away.

On our way to eat Lobster!

Wine Pairing Cruise

Dining aboard the J. & E. Riggin just got better!

Kim Hamlin of Fiber & Vine will join us for this adventure collaborating with Chef Jocelyn to pair wines with select appetizers, dinners, and even dessert!

This is our first year trying this fun combination and we’ve got a lot of tricks up our sleeves!
