In this beginner friendly workshop, participants will make stitched collages on greeting cards to send a personally designed treasure to a friend or loved one. The workshop will cover some basic hand stitching patterns and discuss ideas about composition and process. We will finish one card in class and prepare a second to be finished at home.
Class fees include: Materials for two cards, a stitch pattern card as a guide for future projects. (Participants can also bring their own paper ephemera if they wish for their card.)
Colin Penley is a Western Maine based multimedia artist working in alternative photography, collage, and embroidery.
