I’m a big fan of embroidery and improvisational stitching… but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. For this stitch-a-long I’ll give each person a botanical outline to work with. This shape will provide a structure for you to stitch along, around, or away from. I’ll hand you a prompt or two each day for inspiration, and you can stitch throughout the trip at your own speed. We’ll gather in the morning with coffee/tea, before the boat is under way!

Your kit includes:

• Handmade (by me) mason jar pin cushion filled with: thimble, embroidery scissors, assorted floss, embroidery needle threader, and a pack of assorted embroidery needles.

• Cotton/linen fabric with botanical design of your choosing.

• 5” embroidery hoop.

• Instruction booklet of basic stitches.
